Competition Wins for JKS Scotland Athletes!

Our students have been busy over the last few weeks, competing at various karate events. We are delighted to announce more medal wins for our young, and not-so-young, competitors!

Firstly, our congratulations go to the youngsters who attended JKS Scotland’s Grassroots Kumite competition on 10th June, held at Honbu Dojo in Dunfermline. The competition is for under 14’s to gain more experience and confidence in WKF-style kumite, to nurture their progress and provide a pathway through to more senior events, in time.

We are delighted to announce some great medal wins in each of the age categories, although all of the competitors performed outstandingly and we are very proud of them:

The following day, Georgie, Adam and Kathryn represented Team JKS Scotland at Chojinkai Karate Annual Championships in Penrith. Competing in individual kata, individual kumite and team kata, they performed well across the board, leaving the day with:
