Cubs Pre-School Karate
Learn the foundations of Shotokan Karate in a fun and engaging class, designed specifically for ages 4 - 5 years.
Our young students learn traditional Shotokan Karate by incorporating group learning, interactive games and fun challenges throughout the class. Not only does this encourage socialising and making new friends, it results in an instant feeling of achievement, making your child see they really are capable of anything they put their mind to.
Traditionally, and even still today, many karate schools would not allow children to enrol until age 7 or 8. We, however, disagree. We know that with the right teaching and support, children below that age can learn just as quick, if not quicker. They are like little sponges, after all!
At this stage, we focus on building confidence and techniques so that little karateka graduate to our Kids’ Karate Programme with a head start. Your child will learn basic syllabus techniques using solo, partner and pad work, working through a curriculum designed to create strong learning foundations. We’ve seen Cub graduate students excel on graduating, developing at immense rates, purely due to building the basics at a younger age.
We have Cubs karate classes in Bearsden and Milngavie.
We’re always being asked;
“How do you manage to train these wee tots?!”
With dojos bustling full of pre and early schoolers; little balls of bouncing energy, we can understand how parents are amazed at what we are able to achieve with their little ones. Afterall, traditional karate clubs say they’re too young for karate.
Well, it’s all down to our secret formula. Our C.U.B.S. System.
