Who will be titled the Grand Winner at the end of the year?

Every month, students are invited and encouraged to take part in our fun and friendly competition-style night.

Here, you will have the opportunity to compete against your class mates in kata, kumite or both, as a way to increase your confidence, get that all-important mat time before competitions, and have fun doing so!

Points are assigned for everyone who attends, and those who win first, second or joint third in your categories get extra points!

The aim? To be crowned the winner with the most points at the end of the year, and lifting the Shobu Kai League Cup!!

Kata of the Month Workshop

Calling all Kata Geeks! Our first Kata of the Month workshop is here!

Each month we select a kata to learn, in intricate depth, and take things even further with a full bunkai (practical application of the kata). You’re going to learn and understand kata like never before.

This month’s kata is NIJUSHIHO.

Our workshops are open to all JKS Scotland members, age 10+ - all grades welcome.

Shobu Kai students can book via your booking app / booking email.

DOJO OPEN DAY!!!

We CANNOT WAIT to welcome you all into our own, full-time dojo.

It’s been months and months in the making, and we’re finally here!!

As of Monday 24th March, all class in Allander Leisure Centre will be moved to our very own dojo and our new timetable will be in place.

Our new address is Hillfoot House, 1 Hillfoot Drive, Bearsden - opposite HIllfoot train station.
