SENSEI KATHRYN VERONI
1ST DAN // LEVEL 2 COACH & CO-OWNER
Kathryn began training in 2019, starting her journey with the Karate Union of Great Britain, grading under Sensei Frank Brennan. Just like a duck takes to water, Kathryn was destined for karate and has made incredible accomplishments in her short journey already.
Now, as Adam’s protégé, Kathryn secured her places on JKS Scotland’s Kata and Kumite Squads, and trains with Karate Scotland’s National Kata and Kumite Squads. She is 2024’s British Champion for Kata and won a bronze medal at this year’s JKS World Championships in Tokyo.
Kathryn’s coaching days are still young in comparison to Sensei Adam’s, but she shows a natural ability and a keen eye for attention to detail; qualities that help students perform at their peak.
Kathryn has achieved her Level 2 Coaching qualification from Karate Scotland, which is accredited by Sport Scotland. She has a personal interest in trauma-informed coaching and is currently working on projects which see karate being used to help abuse survivors recover from trauma and rebuild their confidence.
