Our Nurtured Kids Programme has been designed for children who have additional support needs and develop best with a little more time and nurturing.

Through our years of running the Academy, we’ve had hundreds of children through our doors. We’ve come to recognise that some children are extremely capable but just can’t get the best out of our standard classes. Perhaps they feel too over-whelmed being part of a big group, or the pace of teaching is too quick for them, leaving them disengaged or over-stimulated.

So we formed our Nurtured Programme.

These classes are for ages 7-12 years and are completely student-centred. The content of the classes are the same as our Karate Kids Programme, but are at a slower pace, allowing for students to explore techniques on their terms. This encourages more engagement, more learning, and therefore, more enjoyment from each class.

• Zen Zone for when children need to have a moment to themselves

Our nurtured karate kids don’t have to officially have additional support needs or attend an ASN school to attend. We’ve found this class particularly suited to children who have signs of ADHD or autism, although we are inclusive to any child who could benefit more from this type of learning environment.
